Stretch Class

The Stretch Class runs for an hour and 15 minutes.  Effective stretching is performed for the entire body (some partner assisted) in the first hour followed by a lovely meditation to bring about a completely relaxed state.

The ideal human body is cat-like.  Relaxed , strong and agile. 
This technique certainly improves joint range of movement and releases tense muscles.

Pilates Mat ClassThe class is run in a group format on floor mats. 

The body is firstly warmed up through a range of dynamic movements to get the blood pumping and muscles warmed.  (arm swings, gentle squats, lunges and smooth rotations). 


For the body of the class, participants go the floor to undertake a series of various individual stretches.  Each major muscle groups is focused on. 

The stretches are slow, safe and supervised to ensure they are effective.  The upperback, neck and shoulders are stretched to release tension, which is important to counteract our busy lifestyles. 

Pilates Mat ClassParticipants then partner up (with someone they feel comfortable with) and perform partner assisted exercises.  These are truly liberating!  A beautiful meditation concludes the class, leaving the participants feeling rejuvenated and in a relaxed state.

I believe athletes (runners, cyclists, tri-athletes, gym junkies, dancers etc) can receive tremendous benefits from attending my classes.  Injury will become a thing of the past!  Older individuals can certainly benefit, too.  The body will continue to improve if you give it the opportunity.  Movement is important in life.  Aches and pains will diminish. 

Posture and body awareness will improve, too.
