CARMEL LUI
Carmel has been actively involved in the Fitness Industry as a instructor since 1993, teaching a wide range of classes including aerobics, step classes, aqua aerobics, cycling classes and boxacise circuit training.
In 2003 Carmel decided to focus more on Pilates and established Pilates Precision classes in 2004. Since this time Carmel has continued to enhance her Pilates role by increasing her knowledge and taking part in a number of training courses.

CHRISTINE ATWELL
Hi there, my name is Chris and I am proudly an instructor for Precision Pilates and this is my story....
I have been passionate about health and fitness from an early age. I may have mildly disappointed my parents at 15 when they discovered me sneaking to the gym. Their investment in the previous 10 years of ballroom dancing lessons was sadly wasted as I discovered the world of weights and ‘retired’ from dancing. I loved the gym so much that in 1992 I completed my Fitness Qualifications at Fitlink Brisbane and then went on to serious weight training. I competed in BodyBuilding in 1998 and that year I placed 2nd in the Australian Natural Body Building titles. During the early years of my fitness career I worked full time as a freelance Group Fitness instructor. I was trained in NewBody, Circuit, Step, BodyCombat, BodyPump, Spinning, RPM, BodyAttack & ABT. Places of employment included; Healthworks, YMCA City, Ashgrove Body Designers, Club Arana, Fernwood and LivingWell Health Clubs. Most aspects of the fitness industry I have worked in including reception, fitness evaluations, writing resistance programs and personal training.
From 2000-2005 I was Group Fitness Manager of LivingWell Health Club Brisbane City, closely coordinating and monitoring over 30 GF Instructors.
2005-2007 I took time off to have my daughter and enjoy being a first time mum. After having a baby I realized that my body had changed along with my interest in health and fitness. I wanted to focus on training that would benefit my body long term. I also wanted to change the way my body looked, after years of weight lifting I didn’t want to be bulky anymore, I wanted a strong but streamlined figure and that is how I discovered the benefits of Pilates. In Feb 2008 I completed my Studio Pilates Matwork Instructor Training and then went on to instruct for Flight Centre Brisbane City.
Early 2009 I was fortunate enough to meet Carmel Lui of Precision Pilates. Carmel’s delivery of the Pilates’ method was different to what I had previously been exposed to; she made it more athletic and exciting. I was inspired so much by her that I went on to be mentored by her for many months before I began to work for her in 2010. As well as working for Carmel I also take corporate Pilates classes in the city including Police Headquarters gym, Government House, Forestry House and RBH fitness centre. I’m excited as soon I will be deviating slightly from Pilates into Core Conditioning. More details of this class will be coming soon.

KAREN HOLAHAN
My name is Karen Holahan and I have been in the fitness industry for 20 years. I absolutely love everyday that I get up and go to work. I have the joy and pleasure of helping people to better their lives and at the same time keep myself fit, strong and healthy. About 6 years ago I decided to train in Pilates. I was at the time training my own body hard in cardio and strength but I new something was missing. It was Pilates that I needed. Pilates gave me flexibilty and great core strength. It also has given me a strong healthy back. These are all things that are needed in life to keep your body happy and healthy. I see everyday people coming to Pilates for help as they are either injured in some way or have a sore back and many have very poor flexibilty. Slowly over time I see the improvements and thats what makes my job so enjoyable and so rewarding. In one of my classes I have an 80 year old lady who attends Pilates every week and she is my inspiration. Lets hope I am still able to do the same at her age. Wow!!!
